Foremost Insurance BAC Member Claim Experience
« on: March 27, 2019, 08:29:30 PM »
Time to renew my RV policy and Progressive, whom I have used for several years, presented me with a 38% increase even though I haven't had any at fault claims. My insurance agent came up with a competitive quote from Foremost insurance, a division of Farmers. I'm wondering if any of the BAC folks have had any claim experience with Foremost. As we all know, you never know the worth of an insurance policy until a claim is filed. Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Gary,
If you haven't yet, check with Overland Ins., one of our sponsors before you commit to a policy with any co. They specialize in RV ins and know the business inside out.  800-677-4027

Just renewed ours with SAFECO on our 2017 Entegra Cornerstone and it went up from $2260.00 to $2710.00, close to 20%. Their explanation when called by our agent was that there had been quite a few damage claims by coach's. Any excuse will do I am sure.

I have had my Home and cars insured with farmers for many years and when I purchased the Beaver I went to my farmers agent to ask about insurance for the Beaver and was given a quote from Foremost for $1,215 it has been a gradual rise over the years to $1,396. I have only had a few minor claims with farmers and all were handled without any problems. I have not had any clams with foremost but I am hoping that Foremost is up to farmers standards sense the two are connected and Foremost also includes road side assistance.
