Cat primary fuel hose
« on: June 10, 2019, 03:11:46 PM »
   Gentlemen,
So I was going thru my Coach Log Book prior to leaving for our 3 week adventure in Colorado and found the thread that Dave Atherton posted about the defective fuel hoses on Cat C-12 engines. (original post "failure is present and confirmed by Cat dealer". I had put this warning on my list of things to check out and somehow over looked it. Well guess what, it turns out that hose is leaking at the transfer pump on the engine. I took Dave's advice and replaced it. The last thing I need is a fuel pump failure going thru wolf creek pass.
I just want to express my gratitude to Dave Atherton who has spent his life time utilizing his talents in mechanical understanding and willingness to share it with us. Life would be far more complicated without Dave's willingness to enlightening our understanding. Too sad about misguided self anointed advisers trying to steal Dave's Thunder!
   Blessings, Fred Brooks
