Fresh water holding tank

I drained my fresh water tank and now when I close and refill it it will not shut off all the way. Steady drip drip drip coming out of drain pipe. Is there a simple fix for this? `

I would reopen the drain then close it again (don't need to drain the entire tank). Maybe there is a little trash/dirt in the seat and opening/closing it will flush it out.

Somewhere I read or heard the drain valves on the fresh-water tanks are the same model as the dump valves on the black and grey waste tanks.  If that's so, then they will have a similar life expectancy from the manufacturer, i.e., about 7 to 8 years.  But, given our fresh-water tanks are not drained often and therefore the drain valves are seldom used, perhaps we could realistically expect a bit longer life.

You have an Auto Drain system. The actual shut off valve is identical to your waste tank valves but is built for fresh water (made from white plastic, rather than black). It is driven by the Auto Drain unit. Access is by removing the panel on the front of the first storage bay, just behind the bay that has the Aqua Hot and fuel tank. If opening and closing a few times doesn't fix it, you'll need to replace the valve. I had mine replaced earlier this year for same problem.

We had the same problem a few years ago. The control valve was not secured properly. Simply tightened the mounting screws and have had no problems since.
