Instant hot water faucet
« on: June 05, 2019, 11:56:28 PM »
We are one week into our first camping trip with our 2000 Marquis Tourmaline and while we have managed to fix/repair/locate most items, there are still a couple of things that have us flummoxed, one of which is the insinkerator brand hot water faucet in the kitchen.
Before we can check to see if the heating element is shot (I think it probably will be), we need to get water into the unit.  According to the instructions that we have, the tank should fill in about a minute while holding the faucet handle open.  We aren't getting any water through the system at all. Looking under the sink, the only valve to be seen is the one for the ice maker. Am I missing it or is it in another location? How does this tank fill?
To say that we are getting frustrated is an understatement. Surely it shouldn't be this diffuccult?!

  Hey Mitch,
On my 2000 Coach the water is fed from the water pump and filter compartment just forward of the holding tanks in bay 4 on the passenger side. Remove the carpeted door being held on by 5lb pull latches to reveal the shut off needle valve.
   Let the adventure begin!  Fred

Fred, thank you for the info. I did see that but it was marked ice machine.
I will check it out and hope to get it working.

Thanks Fred.  I was able to find the needle valve, but still no water supply.  Following the line, it is not connected, but I don't see anywhere that it should connect to.  Would you be able to post a picture of this area so that I can see what is supposed to go where?
Many thanks.

Laurence,
I owned a 2000 Marquis Tourmaline for 14 years. The water line from the needle originally ran from the basement compartment to under the sink where it was separated by a tee with one leg going to the hot water dispenser and the other leg going to the Uline ice maker.
