Anyone have the part number/source for the rear ABS sensor for 2002 Patriot Monticello / Magnum chassis?

Hi Wendal
Do you have a specific ABS problem (ABS CODE) or are a broken sensor .
The  reason I ask is on certain vehicle these sensors will drop out do to air gap (too large an air gap) between the sensor tip and the tone ring.
If this is your problem simply tapping the sensor (not hard) back in to the spring collar until it touches the tone ring should cure your problem.
the wheel bearing movement will move the sensor back to find its own air gap so no worry about rubbing or wear however if the wheel bearing are loose enough the sensor may be pushed back far enough that the gap becomes to large and the sensor signal will drop out this is a common problem with tag axle sensor because of the torsion caused by tight turns.
hope this helps

Thank Mike for the doc. I'll check with NAPA.

Eric, Your answer is valuable too, for future reference. This time, unfortunately, the sensor actually melted so it will have to be replaced.
