Thinking about having an Echo charger installed

Hi All,
So we are plugged into 50 amp shore power at camp host site, I checked my chasis battery and it had dropped to 12.7 volts. I have the Xantrex Freedom 458 Inverter/Charter. I hooked up a auto trickle charger to chasis battery for now. The Echo charger seems like a better long term solution. Any thoughts? How hard are they to install? I have a 1991 Contessa with 4 wet cell batteries.

Thanks, I will look that up. Is 12.7 volts low for a lead acid battery at rest?

12.7 volts for a 12-volt battery that is standing alone with nothing connected to it is fully charged.

   Jason, Dave is correct, 50% discharged is 11.9 to 12.0 volts and a dead battery is 11.2 volts (no amperage left in it). Fred

I recently added a Echo Charger, and it was about as easy as most projects get.  The hardest part was routing and securing the wires, and this was not hard.  A few connections and mounting the Echo charger and you are done.  It has worked well for me.
