Title: Slide out seals
Post by: Jim Shaw on February 04, 2009, 10:32:50 PM
I just had the main slide seal replaced on my 2003 Beaver Monterey. What is the best product to use for UV protection and lubricant. The book that came with the coach do not mention care of the seals.

We have been told that a a product without any petroleum products is the first concern as they break down rubber. If the seals are black they are not supposed to need anything and if white something like protect all (what we use on our white seals} works.  I do not think a good lubricant is bad in any case, just watch what you put on the seals.

The Owner's Manual in my '03 Monterey says to use no lubricants on the slideout seals, just keep them clean.
