Title: 2001 Contessa kitchen wall update ideas?

Looking for recommendations for updating the kitchen walls covering. The mirrors have been removed previously and stick on tiles installed. I want to remove the stick on wall tiles and replace with something permanent.

You could apply a backsplash using thinset. They are also available wiht adhesive backing.

I used the peel & stick tiles and dont like it at all. I am thinking I need to add some type of wall board if I go with thinset and tile.
