Title: 2003 Beaver Monterey Newport - front leveling jack
Post by: Ted Stouch on January 03, 2021, 10:23:13 PM
When we park we usually put a board under the front jack, especially if we are in gravel, to provide support.  The problem I have is getting the board lined up properly with the front jack.  Is there an easier way to do this?

I use a short piece of 6X6 with  a strap on it.  I can then take the awning pull/hook and position the block where it is needed.  I can lower the jack just enough to center the 6x6 then level.  Hope this helps.

Similar solution done for my previous Beaver, but it doesn’t store as well as a strap... I used a small eyebolt in a two-ply treated 8”x8” square cut from a 2x8 screwed together with several 2 1/2” deck screws, each ply 90 degrees to the other. I felt as though the eyebolt allowed for more maneuverability than engaging a strap with the rod. Made a set of 3 from one treated 2x8 bought at a home center.
