Have a leak coming in at the bottom of the slide. I believe I am going to need to replace the bottom seal on the curbside bedroom slide. Has anyone done this? And, how big a job is it to replace the seal?

Bill,
I have replaced the slide seals on several coaches, and it is no an easy job, but with care and patience the average DIY mechanic should be able to do it. However, you will probably find that you need to replace the outer seals all of the way around the slide, because the leak is probably on the side or top of the slide and it is running down between the inner and outer seals until it pools at the bottom where it finds a way into the coach.

Who are you buying your seals from?
I know there is BCS, and they always have the right parts, but they also seem to be the most expensive.

Mike, a friend of mine at Sanford RV has the seals or can get them. He will know whats best for them also. Scott is the owner and one man show. He also is an auth repair for Magnum inverters and he can fix some of the Xantrex if he can find parts.
