Title: 1999 Beaver Marquis Documents
Post by: Rick Daniels on July 13, 2019, 04:15:30 PM
In using this forums resources I have found that there is very little, if any, documentation, such as wiring diagrams AC and DC, plumbing and the like, specific to my model year 1999.  Much exist for earlier and later models and I have successfully used them in trouble shooting issues.  Every diagram I have reviewed, even those I received from BAC, do not specify the 1999 year model.  Was there something going on at Beaver at that time that resulted in limited availability of supporting documents?  If anyone has documentation specific to a 1999 Beaver Marquis Jasper (or any 1999 Marquis) w/cat c12 I would love to include them in my Beaver file.  I do have the basic owners manual, manuals for the various options, the original marketing brochure, magnum chassis manual but no "diagrams" of any of the systems.  I have collected "diagrams" from earlier and later models but I have found there are similarities but just enough difference to totally confuse this amateur do-it-yourself motor home repairman.

    Hi Rick,
One of the blessings of owning a 99 thru 02 Marquis is this.  When Safari took over Beaver in 1998, the story I heard back in 1998 went like this. The BAC was concerned that Safari would change things and compromise the Beaver tradition and quality. The BAC told Safari if they changed anything they would never buy a Beaver again and would openly boycott all Safari products. Safari promised to keep them the same and kept the same engineers and craftsmen. They built the same coach over and over again from chassis to finished product. That was one of the longest production runs of the same thing.
When craftsmen build the same thing over and over again they tend to do an excellent job. My 2000 Jasper is the most dependable coach I have ever owned! and that started in 1977.
 Living the dream, Fred

So who has all the 1999-2000 wiring diagrams?

Fred, I couldn't agree more on the dependability of my '99 Marquis.  Are you saying that Marquis diagrams for years "98 to "02 are the same?  Even if, it appears that those are the very years that I have not been able to obtain any diagrams.  To repeat Mike's question; where are they?  Is this a problem with Beaver going into and out of Safari?  If I had them, I would try to post them on "Coach Assist" as I am certain there are still plenty of those year models on the road.

I have located the 120 VAC wiring schematic specifically for a 1999 Marquis Jasper. Seems it also applies to the Opal.  I am still on the hunt for the 12 volt diagram.  I have attached the diagram in hopes that it might be added to the appropriate library on this forum for others to have access to.

Rick,
I've added your print to the Marquis wiring diagrams in Coach Assist.
Thx, Steve

I see that the PDF is for the Jasper / Opal model.  Does anyone have one for a 2000 Marquis Tourmaline or are they the same?

TIA!

Mitch.

I have discovered that there may be similarities but enough difference between year and model to confuse the issue.  I have found that getting diagrams for your specific year and model is the safest but the hardest to get. A big difference shows up when a specific model has more or less standard options than the other.
