Title: Power Entry Door
Post by: Michael Hannan on June 30, 2015, 06:17:02 PM
hi everyone. Has anyone ever seen a power entry door on a Beaver?  I'm not sure that I really need one but I'm wondering if they can be retrofitted or installed.

Thanks
MJ

         Hi Mike,

I'm not clear by what you mean "power entry door". Are we talking power windows, power entry lock?
                   Regards, Fred

A friend of mine has a '99 or '98 Patriot Thunder with a custom ordered mid-door configuration.  Because his DW uses a wheelchair (cannot walk or lift herself - paraplegic) he had a power lift put on the entry door.  It has a trapeze that she slides onto from the wheelchair outside and is then lifted up into the coach.  I don't remember for sure how she gets around when inside the coach.  I know she does travel from end-to-end inside the motorhome and sleeps in the big bed in the bedroom.  Therefore, she does have some way to be mobile, but I am not sure if she has a special, narrow-wheeled wheelchair or a wheeled ceiling rail with another trapeze.

Fred, I'm looking for a door that will open with the push of a button.

Sorry Mike for being ignorant, Not sure where you are located. In Tucson there is a company called ADS that does these kind of handicap conversions. Google may help.
