Thanks Carl. I started trying to use a hammer drill to remove the tile, but gave up as it was going incredibly slow. I've had far more success cutting out each piece and taking the sub-floor out along with the piece. Perhaps I go back to using the hammer drill to chisel out the tile around the cabinets and patch where I damage the sub-floor. I've looked around for a molding that I could use, but I haven't found anything so far. I'm not in a position to be able to custom mill a piece. Thanks!

On my Patriot the ladder was broken when I got it ( looked to me like a tree limb had removed one of the top hoops )
I bought a new aftermarket replacement kit which matched the width and even though it was a shorter ladder I was able to reuse the lower section
To build an exact fit because the kits come in two pieces with a splicing hinge to allow then to fit curved rear caps , the hinges can be used in a straight line to make a splice as well and if the original ladder is the same width it should connect right up you just take your old ladder off lay it on the ground match up the rungs and cut and splice the new one in .

Here is a spec sheet for a Calson aftermarket unit check it out ( compare it to yours width and rung spacing and see what your think)
Like I said it worked for me and matched perfectly.

When we bought our Beaver last year, it was missing the bottom half of the ladder.  I couldn't find one anywhere.

I called REV/Monaco and told them I was looking for the rear ladder.  They asked me what coach I had.  I said 2008 Beaver Marquis.  They said they have no Beaver parts and hung up.

I had been looking at a 2008 Monaco Signature before we bought our motorhome and the rear caps on it and mine looked nearly identical to me. So I looked up the VIN of the Signature on the dealer website.  I called REV and told them I needed the rear ladder for the 2008 Monaco Signature and gave them that VIN.  They had the whole ladder (upper and lower) in stock and sent it to me after charging a princely sum.  It is not polished metal but is metal painted gray.

IDK if the rear cap on your Contessa is the same as a 2008 Marquis.  But if you can figure out which Monaco had the same rear cap as yours all you need is the VIN off it and you could probably get one from REV.  The REV part number for my ladder was 10111636 LADDER RR SIGNATURE 06 REV **2 PIECE. $390 shipped.

REV is who ended up owning Monaco I believe. They have lots of parts for the Monaco coaches. But “not” beaver even though Monaco owned beaver when the bankruptcy happened. Beaver Coach Sales in Bend, OR owns the Beaver assets and rights out of the bankruptcy.

If you call REV and tell them you are looking for beaver parts it will be a short conversation.

The original coolant surge tank that beaver used was a Ford part numberF5HT-8A080-HA Ford a Ford F700 series truck that part number was superceded
By. Part number F6HZ-8A080-B they can be found readily on line .
You could also change it out for an aluminium one at three times the price.

Bill,

I took most of mine out with a air chisel which would break the tiles out even with or just behind any cabinets or anything else in the way. I used it both horizontally and vertically. The vinyl planks called for a slight gap to allow for expansion, so I milled some floor molding out of walnut and fastened it around the perimeter.  I did loose about 1/2 inch of floor space overall, but have not really noticed that.  Hope this helps you some.

My coach has black rims, and I wanted to put black hub caps with chrome lug nuts. My lug nut will only alow push-on caps. The problem is that the front and back hub cap holes are 1 11/16 in (33 mm), while the lug nuts are(1.5) 32 mm.  In other words, the hole that slips over the nut is larger than the chrome cap of 1.5 inches. When I drive down the road, the cap vibrates and pushes the push-on cap out, which inturn alows the hubcaps to fly off. Any idea on what I should use to stop that?

I am deep into removing our existing tile floor and will be replacing it with LVP. My respect goes out to others who have already completed a floor replacement, the demo of the existing tile floor is a bear. For anyone who has completed this project how did you work around the front console that sits between the driver and co-pilot seats along with the shelf next to co-pilot. The existing tile goes under these cabinets, and my carpentry is not precise enough to be able to cut LVP pieces close enough to the contours. Did you remove these cabinets? Recommendations? Thanks

Norm, did you get your bedroom slide motor/brake working?  If so, please share your solution.  I’m having exactly the same problem. 

Mine started as a mechanical issue with the motor gearbox.  Bought new motor/brake and gearbox from eTrailer and had to swap drive shafts because of the keyway issue.

In any case, the brake will not release when trying to move the slide motor.  That is unless I power them with a 12v power pack which releases the brake and moves the slide.
