Title: Troubling Carefree Topper
Post by: Wes Gendron on April 24, 2020, 01:20:24 AM
On my passenger rear slide I noticed the topper was binding when the slide was trying to extend. When I removed and partially disassembled the topper I could see the left topper arm was showing damage from rubbing on something inside the roller. I cannot find and diagrams that are clear enough to determining if there is a bushing or some sort of wear ring inside the roller. Now that it is partially disassembled the spring seems to  wind so I am guessing it is not broken. Is anyone familiar with this type damage to the arm, and the binding when installed?

You should have the Carefree Omega II awning. here's a parts breakdown. There isn't much in there.
