On a 2000 Marquis Amethyst how do you access the rear view video camera.?
-
Jeremy,
There is a small panel on the back wall of the rear closet. Remove it and you can get to the camera.

I haven't found it yet ! Do I need to get behind the electrical panel?

Your rear camera, if like ours, is placed high in the center on the rear of your coach. Thus, you need to access it by going high in the center in the wardrobe closet's rear wall. There should be a squarish looking 1 foot by 1 foot access door that is held in place by several screws. I assume your wardrobe closet is cedar lined like ours. Open one of the wardrobe closet doors and look high on the back wall for a piece of cedar about 1 foot square that has screws in it.

Thanks...Will look today. Jeremy

The cedar wall in the closet has no access panel to the rear camera.!!!!??? Do I cut an access with sabre saw?
-
Jeremy,
I wouldn't! The panel has got to be there unless access is from the outside, which is doubtful. Suggest givinn Ken at BCS a call. He may know what is going on. Per the brochures, the Amethyst floor plan shows up as a 2001 Monaco plan and not a 2000 SMC plan.

I hate to say it, but when out of curiosity I went to check behind my closet camera access panel last year, like Jeremy discovered there was no camera back; which is why when he asked I didn't chime right in. Hey, but at least I had a removeable panel! The unit must be either above or below the hole somewhere, but no easy repair or switch out regardless. Could it be his entire cedar closet back has to be unscrewed and removed?

Joel,
that is what it looks like right now but I will check with Beaver to see if they have an alternative solution.
Removing the whole panel will include the 12 volt and 110 volt ac breaker panels and the ac sensors. !!!
