Title: Water pump and Shore water line

I have tried everything to increase water flow to RV with no success.
I can only assume that the Elks Lodge has had to restrict water usage/flow to meet some reduction imposed due to drought conditions here in California.
My neighbor suggested leaving the electric pump on while connected to the shore water line.
Will this back-charge the pump and cause problems?
I am not opposed to leaving the pump on to get better water flow but don't want to damage pump n the process.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Fill your fresh water tank to full or half-full, or whatever you want.  I don't know how long you expect to be parked there.  Then just use the RV pump for all your needs.

California may have city water flows turned down, or you may have too restrictive of a regulator in your RV's water line.

Using the pump to augment city water won't hurt the pump, Darrell.  We've done it many times when more pressure was needed for some endeavor, or the park's pressure just wasn't up to snuff.  Our owners manual even says straight out that it's okay in the section about how to use city water, and we used to do it all the time on our old '84 Pace Arrow.  It's best, of course, to see to it you do have water in the tank for the pump to use during the boost.

Thanks Joel,  My frustration is with water pressure when taking a shower. Nice to know augmenting with pump won't cause problems down the road.
