Title: Heat exchanger for Aqua Hot
Post by: Keith Moffett on May 16, 2019, 06:57:48 AM
There is a heat register or heat exchanger for the Aqua Hot under our kitchen cabinets.  It measures 4x6x16 1/2 inches and has two speeds with three outputs.
Does anyone know the model and brand and where they can be found?
Thanks

Not sure I saw any there that matched your exact parameters though.

Thanks Joel.  I had looked over Roger Burks list and John Carillo as well and none fit.  The closest I have found is the Cozy home 111 on the Aqua hot site but it is plumbed wrong and a bit smaller I think.

So I was finaly able to pull out the heat exchanger unit.  I took it apart and tested the core.  It was leaking pretty badly.  So much for hoping it was a simple bad connection.
The core measures 2 x 6 x 16 and has the in and out connections on one end.
I am trying to stay with OEM because the original fan is three speed and the wiring is set up that way.
A part number from BCS Google's out to a transformer.
Looking for suggestions since Burke and Carillo dont have anything .
Thanks

all kinds of places for heat exchangers but none like ours.  Went and looked again at Roger Burke and that Kozy one is close just turned on its side.  Thanks for mentioning it.  Don't know why I missed it before.  This is a possibility if space allows.

Update for those with this kind of heat exchanger.
While in Albany Or. we found a radiator shop that specializes in repair of all sizes.  I pulled the core out and showed it to him.  After testing it he found it leaks in multiple areas and is not repairable but he did find a new unit which he says is like ours.  He says he has better suppliers.
Will report more on Friday when it gets here.
