Title: Bug Removal Tip

Found this great tip on YouTube for bug removal using water and dryer sheets.
No abrasive cleaning, non damaging, no physical exertion (well maybe a bit of wiping).

Note: if used on glass, use some window cleaner to remove the small bit of wax residue.

It works amazingly well!

This looks like a good idea, I'll have to give it a try.  I met some folks in Branson that suggested 3% hydrogen peroxide.  I haven't tried it myself yet but they said it worked great on love bugs.

I got a 1/2 inch pipe to 3/4 hose brass adapter fitting.  You can unscrew the outside shower head, attach your fresh water hose and run hot water through a standard car wash brush that is the style made to screw to a garden hose.  Bugs fall off quickly.  It worked for 122,830 miles of bug catching!

I've used the dryer sheets (Bounce) many times. Put the dryer sheet in a bucket of water and apply to front of rig and windshield with the wash brush.It works great, just dissolves the baked on bug remnants. Wash and rinse off residue as you would dirt.


I also polish my windshield using 0000 steel wool. This too works wonders removing stuck on tar and such that are not removed with scrubbing.  Note: you must use extra extra fine steel wool as mentioned 0000 otherwise you will scratch the glass.
