Title: Jacknife sofa
Post by: Lawrence Tarnoff on December 06, 2018, 10:11:57 PM
Our dogs like to sleep on the sofa and as one could expect they have managed to tear the fabric in a few places.  I am going to check with local upholstery shop to see if it can be recovered without removal, but my guess is no.

So ... how difficult will it be to remove it?  And reinstall it?  Thinking about recovering in tougher material like a faux leather to match the pilot and copilot seats.

Thanks,

Larry

Larry,
Jackknifes aren't bad to remove (IMHO). There are probably 4 hold-down bolts that you can access when the unit is open. Then it will fit through the door when it is open (flat). You might have to remove the co-pilot seat too.

If its like the 72" one we had in the Holiday Rambler Endeavor, once you unbolt it from the floor, it comes apart. Just make sure you keep track of what goes where. Take pictures. We were able to take it out the front entry door without removing the co-pilot seat.
