Title: Surge Guard Monitor Blank
Post by: Norm Green on January 29, 2015, 05:45:21 PM
I have the factory installed Surge Guard with a single LED monitor located above the entry door.  I noticed yesterday when I was in the cabinet checking tank levels that the monitor was blank, no readings at all.  I am connected to 50 amp power and all indications are that I have power to the coach.  The inverter is turned off, batteries show "floating charge" and all 120v works (residential refer, TV, etc.).  I have checked the connection points at both ends of the monitor and the "phone line" type connection is OK.  It appears that I simply have lost communications between the monitor and the Surge Guard unit.  Does anyone know if the wire from the unit to the monitor is direct or does it pass through some sort of connector or switch?  Is this in fact just a telephone cable?
