Hello! I'm getting ready to order new shocks for our 06 thunder and there seems to be some issues with what fits what. Would anybody know the correct number for Bilstein comfort rides?
Thanks! Jim

Jim,
I would recommend that you consider the Koni FSD for your replacement shocks.

I would highly suggest the Source Engineering . Put our on our 2006 Patriot then immediately went on a trip up the OR coast. Immediate profound difference and lifetime warranty.

Thanks Carl and Larry. Already been down the koni road on our last coach along with source as we had already installed the koni's and then went with source's sway bars. All was good with all products and service, but I just wanted to try the bilstein's. The price doesn't hurt either since we probably won't keep this coach for much more than 2 yrs. Been on the phone talking to a few bilstein people and need to get under coach to measure some connector bolts to know exactly what we need. Thanks again!

A 2006 coach needs new shocks installed already? or maybe just a personal preference to change them?

In my opinion, Koni's are the way to go. Replaced my Bilstein's last summer. Night and day. Much better ride. The service advisor at Alliance agreed that Koni is superior also.

We put Konis on our 06 Thundermobile.......... a much more heavier duty shock than Bilsteins................ride and control is much better........

Off hand, does anybody have which Koni model # works on a 98 Beaver Patriot and how many of them I need to replace all? Thanks
-
Matt,
Have you checked the Koni web site? See http://www.konirv.com/nextstep.cfm?model=2 and look under RV, Magnum.

one reason is we had one of the drive axle shocks started leaking bad. we have about 4 weeks before heading back north, might reconsider the koni's. thanks!
