 Has anyone installed a Wast Master sewer hose system?

very nice system installed in our 06 PT this was a replacement of the factory installed unit.

Did you cut the 3 little nipples off the existing connection as it shows on the video or did you cut off the entire old unit? The reason why I am asking, I feel connecting to the existing unit would make it stick out too far. Also, did you add additional strapping to secure the entire unit?
