Title: AquaHot Furnace, How Hot?
Post by: Bill Lampkin on October 22, 2017, 12:22:09 AM
Our Aqua Hot system seems to work fine, but when I switch to the furnace setting, the air coming from the heat exchangers is warm but not hot. Shower and sink hot water all work fine. So how hot is hot at the furnace registers? All seem just warm, not hot. Thinking about taking the MH to  a shop for annual AH service and see what they say. The heat exchanger fans, too, make more noise than I like. Getting picky in my old age!

I didn't think my heat exchangers were getting very hot either, until I opened the bay door, and put my hand on them. As long as they are hot, or even warmer than the air, the interior of the MH will get warm.

Try using a can of air from a computer store to blow some dust out of the heat exchanger.  Vacuum with brush attachment helps also.  This may also quiet them down.
