Technical Support / Windshield wiper arm mount
« Last post by Carl Boger on March 07, 2025, 01:03:44 AM »
Does anyone know where to get a mount for the windshield wipers where it screws to the front of the RV on a 1998 Patriot Savannah.   At some point in the past mine was damages and crudely fixed with a sheet metal screw.  I attached two pictures that show both sides of the mount that holds the wiper arms.  Thanks in advance,

which tank or gauge goes down first the green or the orange .
A couple of other places to look
1) check the air control valve for the step well block off slide, if the slide cylinder is leaking internally the control valve will be constantly exhausting a small
    amount of air.
2)) check the exhaust brake solenoid to make sure it isn't leaking a little internally.

3) check the air dryer purge valve at the bottom of the air dryer

4) check the foot brake treadle valve for small leaks at the plunger and at the vent below

5) check for leaks at the compressor air governor

If your leaks seem to still be in the air suspension you could install shut off valves at the tank to isolate which circuit is leaking front or rear.
There are two supply lines (blue) from the tank they each run to the cross member above the transmission where you will find a pair of Haldex air pressure regulators ( set at 70 PSI ) from there one line runs to the rear ride height valve and the other runs to the front ride height valve.
When looking for leaks those pressure regulators are often over looked.
Also the air manifolds for the air bags are a plastic manifold with push fittings which often leak they can be replaced with several brass DOT compression fittings.

Hope some of this helps

Have you checked the fluid level in the reservoir? It should be located in front of the steps underneath the front of the cap. Pull the generator slide out for easier access. Hope this helps.

I have a 2006 Beaver Marquis  Having trouble getting slides to work properly. Had a slide repaired at Lazy Days in Wildwood Fl
Now slides work very slow..Pump runs but does not build up pressure.  Is there Bleed valves on the system.  How do I  bleed air out of the system  All help appreciated   Love the FORUM.

Eric,

You're right.  I not only had different orientations, but different valves in each location and the only one installed correctly was the Original Haldex on the drivers side rear.  I now have three new Haldex Valves installed as intended with Arrows pointed correctly and Linkage at right angles.

Eight New Bags, Manifolds, Air Bleed Valves and Ride Height Valves.  Still have a LEAK and it bleeds down in just a few hours.  I plan to move on to the Governor and look for an Air Dryer which I think I don't have.

Well here we are in 2025 and this forum continues to be a wealth of information for us all.

I was leaving Pensacola Beach RV Resort heading east to Carrabelle Florida.  I saw the first speed bump and slowed down accordingly, but I didn't see the second speed bump until it was too late.  My 2001 Beaver Marquis might have caught some air.  Anyway we hit it HARD and shortly there after the drivers side of the RV was almost a foot lower than the right side.  We decided to keep driving because there was no hissing sounds anywhere around the RV and there was room between the top of the tires and the wheel well.  I had to keep dumping air so the right side of the vehicle stayed somewhat level with the broken drivers side.  On smooth roads the driving was fine but any small disturbance in the road surface like manhole covers, was kidney jarring to the driver,  Me.  Sue took the car off the dolly and followed me to our next destination.

The resident genius at Carrabelle knew where to look for the problem and in an hour had found the faulty ride height adjusting linkage and fixed the system.  Cost $0.00. Thanks Skip!

All is well in FLA!

Bill
There is an article in coach assist under common problems about that finish.
You may also want to do a forum search on it , there have been some discussions on how to repair the veneer door fronts.
