Title: Air compressor governor adjustment
Post by: Robert McVicker on January 22, 2021, 01:26:07 PM
Hello all has anybody adjusted there governor for the engine air compressor?. Mines running about 140. I took the top off and I see a adjustment screw with a lock nut. I don't know  which way to turn it for less air pressure.  I am thinking I want to be around 130 psi.I have a replacement but I think I should be able to adjust this one. Thanks again

  From the Bendix manual (attached):
To raise the pressure settings, turn the adjusting screw
counter-clockwise. To lower the pressure settings, turn
the adjusting screw clockwise. Note: Be careful not
to over adjust. Each 1/4 turn of the adjusting screw
raises or lowers the pressure setting approximately
4 psi.
