This is my first post. I am a new member. An RV repairman told me that my 1992 Beaver Baronet parts are hard to get and he would not work on my coach. Is this a correct statement? It has 140,000 miles. I've kept it up mechanically. I want to take it out for a few months. Will I be able to find someone to work on it and get the parts without it being cost prohibitive? I live in Scottsdale, AZ.
Thank you for your reply.

It is going to depend on the parts. Most motorhomes are an assembly of third party components that are easy to get and will have replacements. Things unique, like doors, windows and windshields are harder.
What is broken that the tech won't work on?

Toni,
Look up Fred Brooks in the Membership Directory and give him a call and he might be able to help you as he is a tech from Marina, AZ.

Gilling still (mostly) supports the chassis, I bought a hydraulic pump rebuild kit from them a few years back my pump was leaking and I got air bags from them also. This is my second older Beaver and sometimes you have to be creative but preventive maintenance is most important oil and transmission fluid analysis to see if there are problems in the major machinery. Good luck and enjoy the smooth ride.
