Title: Detroit Diesel in a 1989 Marquis?
Post by: Chuck Jackson on May 17, 2020, 03:27:31 AM
Just ran into a couple in Lake Havasu city Arizona that has a 1989 Marquis with a Detroit diesel engine. I didn’t know that Beaver put Detroit diesels in their motorhomes. Was this fairly common?

I don't know how common but I did see one in a Beaver Bus a couple of years ago in Happy Trail the owner let me look it over and I thought it looked great lots of S.S.

The Detroit Diesel was an option in the Marquis for a few years in the late 80s and early 90s to replace the standard 3208 Cat, but they are not real common. The Prevost bus conversions that Beaver sold in the early 90s were all equipped with Detroit Diesel engines.
