My fuel gauge has been pegged above the full mark for over a year. Finally got around to trying the fix the forum suggested bad ground. Well after climbing under the coach and removing both the ground wire and the center wire and cleaning both....no improvement. The sender wire reads 10.3 volts at the tank and on the peg at the gauge in the dash. The other peg on the gauge reads 13.4 volts. What am I doing wrong? Is the gauge the problem? Any suggestions are welcomed.

With both wires disconnect from the sending unit what does your have read.
Check that reading
Now check the reading at the have with both wires connected to one and other not the sending unit the gate should read opposite the first reading .
The most common problem is bad connections at the sending unit.

It sounds like you may have a bad sending unit in the tank (unless your tank is full). With a full tank you'll have voltage from the sending unit and almost gnd when it is empty. Easy way to check is to pull the sending wire at the tank and ground it. Gauge should go to empty. If it does the wire/ connections are OK and the tank sending unit is probably shot.

Eric and Steve, Thanks for the quick replies. I'll give the grounding a try in a few days after the rain stops. If the sender is bad I'll have to take a trip to burn off the full tank of fuel before removing the sender. Any info on the part number or supplier for the sender?
