I can not seem to find a Magnum MS 2012 in stock anywhere any advise on where to find one? Thank You

The MS2012 seems to be backordered everywhere you look.  However, the MS2812 is available.  I would spend the few extra dollars and have the additional capacities, especially the 125 amp charger versus the 100.  Just my 2 cents.

I looked at all the google listings, and when you go to buy they they are not in stock. I thought when you go up to the 2800 you have to rewire the dc side? Thanks, Les

There are places that repair them.  I had 2 new boards put in mine a few months ago.

Lester, We had a Xantrex 2512 inverter (2500 watts) so that is similar to the 2812. Our wiring from the battery bank is 3/0 wire in parallel (2 neg, 2 pos) to a junction box near the inverter. From the J box, its 4/0 for the 3 or 4 feet remaining to the inverter. That's pretty big wire and maybe unique with the parallel cable run. 2500 watts A/C will pull over 200 amps (dc) from your batteries so you want as little voltage drop as possible. Check your wire size to see if it will handle the amps. You might not need all 2500 (or whatever size inverter you use) watts, but you want to make sure the wiring can handle the current.

I looked for months, even called the factory.  I finally looked on Ebay and found one, in fact they had 10 at the time.  I did receive the inverter, just too hot to install.

Use it only when traveling on the road, and charging standard batteries. The original pro sine 2.0 seemed to work ok, but started throwing codes after being stored for several years. I  have been searching for a Magnum  2012. Do you know exactly which suffix I need, and is it worth upgrading to a pure sine.  Do you know where I can Find one. Thanks, Les

Sorry that I misunderstood and surmised that you had a failed 2012 already, Les.  You might consider repairing your Prosine, but the upgrade to a modern pure sine wave unit is advisable.  Today’s electronic devices and appliances don’t appreciate lesser units.  The cost of the upgrade is likely less than that of failed devices, and adds to coach resale value.

The fellows at ASE Supply that repaired my 2012 seemed efficient and knowledgeable, and might provide some assistance:

Magnum (Sensata) customer service techs, though usually busy such that you have to wait long stretches in queu, are extremely helpful.  They may be able to answer your questions as well as anyone.
