Title: Interior Puck Lights
Post by: Jerry Emert on January 28, 2019, 05:57:25 PM
One of my puck light sockets have gone bad.  When I noticed the light out I tried to put a new LED light in it but the light flickers on and off as I move the bulb.  I know, don't move the bulb!  I tried that but the default position of the bulb in the socket is off.  I've looked at all our links to parts and searched here but I cannot find the socket I have,  Most seem to have 3 springs to hold the socket in the ceiling.  Mine is attached with 3 screws.  It is a 3 inch puck labeled on the back " Halogen Light, DC 12V 10Watt."  Does anyone have a source?  Trying to avoid shipping charges from Bend.  Thanks in advance!!
Jerry

Jerry, I used the springs in most applications but cut the springs off and used screws in three unit installs.  Can you cut the springs off?

Paul, the one I took off does not have springs.  It was screwed to the ceiling with 3 screws.  So can I infer by your post that I can buy the ones with the springs and screw them to the ceiling?  If not I need to find out where to buy the ones with the screw holes.
Thanks

Ebay had the proper light.  Fit right in.  Thanks for the suggestions.

I have at least 90 of the halogen puck lights that have come out of a 2004 Beaver Marquis and 2002 Contessa. If anyone needs or can use them they are available for cost of shipping and handling charge of $.50 each to defray the cost of throwing in a trash container which they are just about going to have happen to them in April when we arrive back home. Most are in good shape with rings that stay attached.

I should have added that we have at least 400 led's that fit into the same halogen puck light hole at a cost of $8.00 for less that 20 plus USPS shipping cost.  At over 20 we can get you a discount volume pricing. 70% better lighting and less battery draw. No heat. Add spade clips to existing coach wires and lights. Plug together and test polarity with switch and install with springs or screws to ceiling, twist on the opaque glass lens and be trouble free.    We have had or sold these type units since 2014 and have never had a failure on a unit.

Doug, I’ll take 10 of them. Send me the price for everything and we can figure a way to get it to you.  I’ll pm my phone number.
