Title: Air in Air Bags
Post by: LEAH DRAPER on September 29, 2016, 05:57:27 PM
How much air do air bags lose NORMALLY over night assuming NO leaks?

Anybody know?

Leah, I had a '99 Discovery that would set for days with air in the bags, and our '05 Beaver will to.

Our coach has sat in our driveway continuously since mid-March, except for a couple extended weekend trips, and has not leaked any air at all from the bags that I know of.  It just sits there as level as it can get on my sloped driveway.  One thing to note is our coach has auto leveling with the 12v auxiliary compressor in the front behind the nose.  So, if there is a small leak, then the auto leveling is doing its job.  In four years of ownership I have heard the auxiliary compressor run only twice while parked.

Leah,
The air bag suspension on your coach will loose no air unless there is a leak. However, a slight leak is not uncommon and the average coach will leak down in several weeks, but a coach that leaks down completely in less than a week usually has a repairable leak.
