Bob
I have been told that an RV fridge is good for about 10 years and anything longer that that is bonus.
The coolant system can be changed out id therest of the fridge is good.
You tube has a couple videos on this.
The cost is not cheap but a darn sight cheaper than new.
BCS parts may have some suggestions.  1 800 382 2597

Good luck and God bless

Bob,
If the rest of your refrigerator is OK, replacement of the cooling unit is much cheaper than replacing the entire refrigerator, and it is something that the average handyman can do. There are detailed YouTube videos with instructions.

A new Amish cooling unit will cost app $1100 to $1800 depending on how much the freight cost, and a rebuilt unit is about $400 to 500 less.
