Title: TV live won’t come down
Post by: Fred Cook on January 14, 2026, 01:33:09 PM
We are currently on a trip and cannot get our TV list to come down from the ceiling. I checked all breakers and fuses in all looks good there. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions on what to do?

TV live?  TV list?  Maybe TV lift?  We had a similar problem several years ago.  I finally discovered that the momentary toggle switch that raises/lowers the TV was bad.  I removed the switch and when I touched the wires together to complete the connection, the TV raised/lowered just fine.  I replaced the momentary switch.

Another time I had a problem when the lift linkage had slipped out of proper adjustment.  I readjusted the linkage and have not had a problem with it since... for several years now.

Don’t think it’s stuck. Can’t get to the actual lift without tearing off the cover because it is screwed to the lift from behind. I hear an audible click in the ceiling where the lift is plugged in each time I push the switch…. but nothing happens.

Try rocking the cover back and forth, having someone pressing the switch at the same time. There are limit switches that stop the travel, going both ways that may need adjusting or replacing. When I open and close mine, I release the switch just before it is fully open, and when closing do the same thing. This has worked for me, and have not had the problem since. Hope this helps, good luck!

Check your ignition switch.  In my 2002 Marquis when the ignition switch is on the power to the lift mechanism is disabled.  Also the Auxiliary position on my ignition switch is not clearly delineated.
