Merry Christmas to everyone on the forum!
I need to replace the water pump in my 2002 Monterey. I've attached a photo of the current pump. Does anyone have any suggestions for an upgrade to what I have and where to buy one? I would like to get a replacement that will "drop in" to the old pump location, i.e., use the same mounting holes and the same tubing and fittings. I can probably do this as a DIY project, but only if major modifications are not necessary. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Bill,
If that's the original pump and you were satisfied with its performance, I'd stick with it. They are available from Freshwater Systems for about $70. CW sells an alternative for about $93.

Thanks, Steve. Is the CW alternative you mention the "Revolution" model (catalog #49007)? I am going to be passing by a CW store on Wednesday and can pick one up then.

Bill,
Yes, mounting and hookup look similar. New pump is rated at 3 GPM @ 55PSI. Your old one is 3.5 GPM @ 45PSI.

Steve, This is the pump I installed to replace the original equipment pump on my '04 Monterey Laguna. It works much quieter and with steadier water pressure than the original. Maybe you can make out the model and other info from the photo. It appears to be a Shurflo model 4008 3 GPM. Merry Christmas.

Coach is in the barn in Chandler and we've got the fireplace going up here.

Ahhh, 49 degrees, just finished a round of golf, fire going in the fireplace, and getting ready to grill a couple of fillets....life is good. Now if I can just get the coach out of the shop it would be all roses and champagne.

One of those fish on Xmas guys, huh? Wasn't there an " Everybody Loves Raymond" episode about that ;)

One good thing about it though... as long as the coach stays in the shop, then the bill isn't in the mail.

Do we mount these pumps upside down now?? I thought that was a no no !!

Jeremy,
It does not matter what position a new water pump is mounted in as long as it is securely mounted and the water lines are not stressed.
