Title: Leak behind toilet
Post by: Jerry Parker on September 16, 2013, 10:03:05 PM
I have a 98 Patriot and noticed the carpeted box that covers the water lines behind the toilet was wet near the floor. Does anyone know how the carped box is attached to the wall? I need to get to the water lines to find the leak.

On mine, the carpeted cover is simply jammed in place.  It is on the list of "Mickey Mouse" items to be modified.  You will find the pipes and conncetions behind the cover are easy to access until they go through the wall, where (if yours and mine are similar) they pass through a lump of sprayed foam and become impossible to access.

Thanks for the response. I will try to pry it off. I didn't want to tear some screws out of the wall. I thought it should be attached in some way. Sounds like it should be simple enough, but probably will have to find a way to reattach it when done.
