Title: condensation in headlights
Post by: Stan Simpson on October 08, 2014, 05:52:50 AM
One of my headlights has condensation that I can't get rid of. I know for sure I have seen threads on it here before, but I can never get any results using the search function here.

I tried: headlights; headlights condensation; headlight condensation; condensation; water in headlights....every time I get zero items found. I tried 'exact words', 'some words', etc. I searched all boards, and tech support. What am I doing wrong while using the search function here?

By the way, what is the remedy for condensation in a headlight other than replacing it?

Thanks,

Stan

Stan,
I had a similar problem with mine. I removed the headlight assemblies and set them in the sun until the condensation was gone. Then I ran a bead of Lexel around the lens to body joint. Solved problem for me.

Thank you, Steve. I will try that and report the results.

Stan, make sure your Thread Age Preferences say 1 day and older.  You likely will still come up with a lot of failed searches, like I seem to, but the odds are better if you aren't searching just the last day's threads  :X .  I do feel your pain;  it's certainly frustrating when you know for sure you've seen a thread about a topic before but the search function doesn't readily turn it up for you.

Stan,
I just searched on condensation and I got 3 pages of results. If you can not get the search function to work for you, call me and I will walk you through it.
