We replaced the Bargeman (cheapo) lights with LED at arround $8.00 from a truck chrome shop which have a huge variety. We bought at the I-75 Chromeshop at Wildwood, FL, close to the the old camp Monaco, now Alliance Coach works.

Here's an update for those of us looking for replacement marker / clearance lights.
Our local RV shop has LED marker lights for about $13. Wal Mart has a version for $7.50 which are LED but match an older design and stand off the coach twice as far as our original units. These look ugly to me!
Good News,
Lovely Carol has found some LED clearance lights on Ebay (see Ebay item # 260188296514). These are currently listed at $6.95 ea. with free shipping.
(search by store..."R and P Carriages Trailer Sales").
This is an Ebay store and the folks have a variety of products including both amber and red marker lights.

I have a 2000 Patriot and had the same problem with my clearance lights. I found that the lense was stamped with "TL18". Apparently that means "Truck Light". I found the replacement at Freeway Trailer Sales in Fife, WA. Hope that helps.

I am now using this source for many of my parts, including marker lights:

They are very reasonable on lights, filters, brake parts and many other items.

TL-18 is stamped on the back of the light ,on the lens .SAE AP2-80 is also stamped on the lens. This part number will lead you to the exact replacement . An LED version is available.

Do you know if the Patriot and Thunder in 2000 used the same lights?

Hi Joel,
You will have to look at the outside of the lens. The SAE number is stamped on top center.

Is there any trick to applying the sealer/silicon around the marker lights following the basic installation? When I've had mine replaced in the past, the silicon sealer around the marker lights has always been neatly applied with straight edges along each side and even the radii in the corners have been very neat. I don't know if these installations were completed by a very skilled technician or if there is some obvious trick to making the edges of the silicon sealer look so straight and tidy. Any thoughts?

Hi Jim, a contractor friend of mine uses blue masking tape to mask just outside of the area you want to seal. After you're done applying the silicone simply pull the tape off leaving the area nice and clean. In regards to how to make a tidy straight looking seal, practice on a piece of cardboard. Also when you cut the tip off the silicone tube, make a small cut so you can better control the silicone. I like the small hand held toothpaste tubes of silicone they are easier to control and store. Just my .02

Try a tube of Lexel (handheld as Jerry suggests with tape) and smooth it with a wet finger. I found Lexel hanging on a peg above the caulking tubes at Ace hardware. It works better -in many ways- than silicone. ;)

It never occurred to me to do the "taping off trick," GREAT IDEA guys, thanks, I'll try that next time I need to apply some caulk!!
-
Leah,
Remember to remove the tape before the sealant cures to avoid a removal problem.

All,
I replaced all my marker lights on my 2005 Monterey with LED lights from NAPA. Sale price was just under $6.00. They fit perfectly and look good and are bright.

This may be controversial with some....If I had a choice in all this to get a neat job I might consider using the Lexel to bed the light and seal it to the coach. Lexel is not so easy to work with and get a really neat job. It seems to be less workable very quickly then silicone is. Once sealed with Lexel I would then use the blue tape to set a sealing bead edge line on the coach around the light and then use silicone to do the cosmetic finish and any additional sealing. The trick is to use just enough silicone to flow a thin layer over the tape edge as your finger finishes the leveling job. When you have the application complete pull the tape before the curing really starts. Lexel is the better sealant but I have had much neater results with silicone cosmetically if that is important to you.

See if you can copy down a number off a lamp cover, Bargman or other. Beaver Coach Sales parts dept. may be able to provide guidance:
800.382.2597
But consider replacing them all as Dennis suggests, with LEDs - they are brighter, use less power, last longer, and are sealed well enough to likely have fewer corrosion issues than standard bulbs and fixtures.
You may find something suitable here: http://www.etrailer.com/dept-pg-Trailer_Lights-sf-Clearance_Lights.aspx

I use a little tool I found at Harbour Freight for a couple of bucks. A plastic handle with a rubber end, radius to run along the bead of uncured sealant. Then nothing sticks to the rubber end, at least not permanently. Always looks way better than the wet finger method.
-
A little hint here that I learned while working in an RV repair shop. For any caulk job, use windshield washer fluid to we the finger and early clean up of area. Works great.
