Hi all,
Before I start searching for NOS or replacement parts for the broken exterior handle(chrome latch handle pull is broken) on my new to me 1999 Marquis, I was wondering if anyone had replaced it with a different mechanism or such. This seems way too easy to lock oneself outside, as I already found out!.
Thanks!

Jeff,
BCS (Beaver Coach Sales) in Bend Oregon should have a replacement door handle to fit your coach. I doubt very seriously that you will find any other door handle that will fit your coach without major and expensive modifications to the door. My suggestion would be to just hide a spare key somewhere on the exterior or engine bay of the coach if you are prone to get locked out.

I agree with Gerald on the BCS sourcing, but It appears to be the busted handle that's keeping Jeff out, not the lock.

You probably have the PTL door and may be able to find the part on their website or by giving them a call. When I was addressing my issue of the door locking itself I was looking at the possibility of needing to buy some parts.

Hi Jeff,
Trimark lock.com is the manufacturer and still makes replacement locks. Fred

Many thanks to all for the info! I'll be sure and post any part numbers and source.

The lock is Trimark.
Replacement part number is 13438-05, which is chrome handle with black surround. Polling a few places, it is apparently not available.
The 13438-04, which is black handle and black surround, is available from several sources.
There is a newer 030-1450 Trimark lock which has slightly different size dimensions, which would possibly require modifying the linkages and such. I am going with the 13438-04 as a drop in replacement.
