Title: 2006 Marquis Living Room slide lock
Post by: Bobby Kirk on July 08, 2017, 11:42:25 PM
I have a 2006 Marquis. The Drivers side slide locks are hitting coach and bending them over so they do not work.  I have the lock off and have straightended the piece that was bent. Does anyone have a diagram how to thread the cables back on. Appreciate any help.

Bobby, we are having problems with one of ours too.  We are at BCS and they will be replacing it.  I suggest a call to Larry in parts for the diagram by email to you.

Probably not the same unit as mine are from a 03 but I had a cable break and when I had elite in Harrisburg look at it they removed the mechanism from both sides leaving the cover plates in place to not require a new paint job. After their opinion that they weren't really needed I followed their recomendation to just remove. After 3000 miles I can see no difference or slide movement while in motion ... Of course as I stated your later more "Monaco " coach may be different.

My slide locks were doing the same thing.  I traveled all Summer last year without them on the Coach.  My RV "guy" replaced them last winter.  The extended warranty paid the lion's share of the 1500 apiece for them.  I didn't notice any difference either but I figured that they were being paid for I might as well have them.  Knowing what I know now I wouldn't replace them if I had to pay for them.  I would use a 2X4 as has been suggested in other threads.  Good luck.
