Title: Windshield Chip
Post by: jeffprupis on August 16, 2017, 03:32:21 PM
I fought the road and the road won. Traveling in Manitoba got a small chip in our windshield. Is it repairable or am I in for a new windshield. Would prefer to repair since I'm concerned about leakage after replacement. Any experience in repairing this would be appreciated.

Jeff
If the chip is smaller than a quarter it can be repaired with good success. The quicker you have it done the less noticeable it will be. I have had several done on my car and coaches.

Jeff,
I agree with Joe, don't wait if you want to repair chip. I picked up a rock from a lumber truck in WA and planned to have repaired when I returned to Oregon. In 2 weeks time the fractures have grown and this is how it looks now.
Scheduled for windshield replacement at RV Glass Solutions in Coburg on Tuesday 8/22.
