How much Freon does a 30" coach take with the motor in the back and condenser in the front?

Our coaches are a little different - but around 5.0 lbs is what to expect. The length of coach does matter as the more feet of AC hose the more refrigerant needed (there is a calculation for that in the attached snip).
But the final charge is determined by the readings on the gauges along with ambient air temp.

Thanks for the help. This answers a lot of my questions. Hope it is blowing cold air today after I install the new expansion valve.

Most Beaver coaches with a front condenser hold in the range of 3 to 3 1/2 lbs. of R134A refrigerant in their dash air system. With a front condenser, the hose length does not make much difference in refrigerant amount because they only carry either high pressure or low pressure gas. However, the coaches that have a rear mounted condenser use more refrigerant because the hose run from the rear condenser to the front expansion valve is carrying liquid refrigerant.
