Air Bags
« on: June 28, 2017, 06:47:55 PM »
Hello all
I need to replace one of the rear air bags on my 1997 36' Monterey with a Magnum S26A300 "Blue Streak" chassis. We took it off to find the number but the label was not readable. We know it's a Firestone brand and has one mounting bolt.
Any help is appreciated

John,
I have never replaced the air bag on a 97 Monterey, but there is a very good chance that Henderson's Line-Up in Grant's Pass Oregon has, and a call to they may give you the information that you need.

I was at Henderson's Line Up. They were trying to find one but could not read the number. The one that they wanted to replace was still working but had a bad spot on the side where it had been rubbing against something and they were concerned it might fail. They were going to order one from a supplier based on a description but they were not 100% sure it was the right one and it was going to take 4 days to get it and I did not have that much time to spare. I'm back in Portland and would like to get the right one and have Peterson Truck install it.
Thanks for responding.

Have same problem, can not find any numbers for the front air bags. Rubber part is Firestone but no numbers. I would think that Beaver has a Firestone or some type of manufactories number.  Firestone has probably a dozen bags that may work depending on the mounting method. Can see top mounting but have no idea of the bottom. I have a Beaver no. for the bag (BCS 002770) but the no. means nothing to the people at Firestone, not their no. I hoping that someone may have some information since any who has a 20 year old MH, may have had this trouble.
1997 Beaver Monterey, 36 ft., 3604 model, 4 air bag suspension, Cat 3126, 300 HP.
Thank you, will appreciate any help I can get,  Don S.

On my 1996 Monterey/Magnum

Rear suspension Reyco 610AR: Reyco 20773-01 airbag xref to Firestone W01-358-8959, exact fit (you need a 1/4" brass plug and plumbing sealant). I paid $191.43 each plus shipping from http://rsleafspring.com/

Front suspension Reyco 510AR: Reyco 20772-01 superseded to 22425-01 xref to Firestone W01‑358‑5777
