Lima, Ohio, easily accessible from I -75, has a population of about 38,000.   Lima was established in the early 1800's, but began to flourish in the last two decades of the 19th century with the discovery of oil and the railroad industry. While in Lima visit: The Allen County Museum: exhibiting collections of history, natural history, science, and art with an emphasis on local history; other local museums and the MacDonell House Victorian Mansion. Lima's roots are deep in the Railroad industry as well as commerce in the mid 19th century being only 10 miles from the Miami-Erie Canal.

The Allen County Fair Grounds is a wonderful facility. We will have the whole fairgrounds to ourselves. Our main building for dining and entertainment will be air conditioned! There is plenty of car parking close to the dining hall, so all who choose to drive will be close.
Entertainment: Large screen movie night in the air conditioned hall with free sodas, candy and pop-corn.
The Kettering Banjo society...the largest banjo band east of the Mississippi will entertain us with Al Jolson style music, Americana and Patriotic numbers

The Lima Beane Chorus...A large men's chorus with several "barbershop quartets"

Get your dancing shoes on....A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock and Roll Dance. LaMar Keck will DJ for us with a night of country line dancing and rock and roll mix..with Karaoke to follow.
We have a wonderful caterer from a well-known local restaurant secured and will feature the famous Beaver Steak night.
Look for Carnival games at our welcome social hour....and a possible Texas Hold'em tournament....
We are working on some new and interesting seminars...Traveling with pets, first aid with common household items, fire and safety...to name a few.

Pat and Gary Guber have been planning parties for a long time.  During their working career they planed cruises and other grand events for their clients.  The Beaver Ambassador Club is lucky to have them as Rally Masters for The Beaver Country Fair.
