2008 Marquis chassis control module issues with smart wheel functions

<< < (2/4) > >>

Steve Huber:
Gary,
The diagram on pg 157 that I previously referred you to shows the following:
  VIP Control Module Series II
  SM-211 Rev B   D10331B
  Software Rev. 1.0
I would not order one until I had the one in your coach in hand to verify I was ordering the correct part.
Steve

Frank Bergamo:
Bob,

your 2006 Marquis does not have a Kongsberg chassis control system. They were installed on 2008/2009 Monaco motorhomes. Your multiplex system is an Intellitec house control system, completely different than the chassis multiplex system. On the Kongsberg control system, there is a +5volt power supply issue that controls the Smartwheel functions, with a few workarounds, that are discussed on other Monaco forums. The actual module is obsolete, a few have been found in motor home salvage yards, but are very pricey$$$$. Anyone that owns a 2008/9 Beaver Marquis, I highly recommend you research this problem, as there are very few options to address the problem. Hope this helps.

Bob Bulot:
Frank, Not sure what you’re referring to.  My post was talking about replacement of the control module for my SmartWheel.  I wasn’t talking about my multiplex system or anything else.  Did I miss something?

Bob Bulot:
Gary, the replacement is Model #SM210.  Northwest RV supply described this as an upgrade replacement for the coaches original SM209.   There are several different models listed on the website.  The model is on the face of your module.

Frank Bergamo:
Bob,

As Gary stated in his first post, there is no Smart Wheel control module on the coach. Those functions are performed by the Kongsberg Chassis Control Module. It is a different setup than the one on your coach. These systems are discussed on Bill D’s Monacoers forum for anyone that wants to research the Kongsberg CCM. Hope this helps.
