1995 Marquis schematics
« on: June 19, 2021, 04:09:58 PM »
Looking through the archives I can find information on 1994 and 1996 Marquis models, does my 1995 follow construction follow one or both model years and I need to find that out through trial and error.  Is the 1995 Marquis 'different'?  Now that I am diving into this coach it seems the electrical related systems are most in need of care.  Well, other than the air systems, but that is another story.

thanks
John

John,

1995 brochures did not show a Garnet floorplan. Both the 360 and 365 series had a Gillig chassis. The 360 series had a Cummins 300hp C8.3 while the 365 series had a CAT 3176.
In 1996 the Gannet was offered. Both the 300 and 365 series offered CAT engines; 300 series a 300hp 3126 and the 365 series a 365 hp 3176.
My opinion is that the 96 diagrams are the ones you want to refer to ( assuming you've got a CAT engine).

BTW, it would be extremely helpful if you would add your engine type to the Signature box in your Forum Profile.

Thx, Steve

Thanks Steve, I have changed my signature.  It is a Garnet floor plan, just like the '96 brochure shows, and a Cummins 8.3.  I am going to be doing as much work on the coach as possible my self.  My career has been industrial HVAC with controls a specialty.  I never have worked on air brake, air suspension, or level control systems before but the are for the most part a road going version of building systems I am very familiar with.  As I get more familiar with the systems on my coach I will attempt to help others with their problems that I have learned about doing my repairs.  I wanted an older coach with less sophistication than the new ones with computer controlled systems.  My budget had more to say though about the age of the coach.  The mid '90's Marquis seemed a nice compromise between something quite old vs. expense and complication.

Thx John,
Since the Gillig chassis is common to those Marquis model years, I doubt you will find many differences in the dwgs over that period.
We have the 96 Marquis schematics. They were copied as .jpg files so not as legible as pdfs but should be of some help. You can find them in Coach Assist. Access Brochures For Almost All Beaver  Coaches,  Beaver Motorhome History,  Safari Motor Coach Corporation (1994-2006),  1996 Marquis Schematics.
I'll also have a 1995 Patriot set of dwgs. Even though it is a Spartan chassis layout, it is very helpful in understanding the basic layout of the various electrical and other chassis systems during that period as most of these system layouts are identical regardless of chassis mfgr. I thought I had it on Coach Assist but can't seem to locate it now. I'll notify you when I find it or load it if needed after I index it.

I have printed out the schematics that seem to fit my coach systems as I understand them now.  I can't find anything about the 'rope' low voltage lights that are strung in all my windows, under counters, and even along mirrors in the ceiling.  They don't work but one of my 12V circuit breakers will pop when I reset it, I must have a short somewhere in that maze.
