Power Gear leveling System
« on: June 20, 2021, 04:58:25 AM »
We have a 2006 Beaver Patriot Thunder. We need information about the hydraulic pump for the leveling system. Which color wire goes to which selanoid connector. There are 3 on the top and 1 on the bottom, and one goes to the float assembly. (5 plug-ins total) One color on each wire is Black, the other will be each Red, Yellow, Green, Purple or Brown.

Access Coach Assist. There is a Vaild Service Manual in the Leveling System section that shows all the connectors, including wire color.

Steve,

I am pretty new here. Can you direct me to the section you are referring to? We found some manuals on the Power Gear Site; but they were focused on operating the Unit, not on the wiring.

We had someone working on the unit to repair a leak in the system. He unplugged the wires from the 5 plug-ins on the selanoids without marking their original location, couldn't get a replacement pump, and just left it that way. My husband has the unit working to level the motorhome, but has to unplug the wires to get the jacks back up. This unit was working correctly, just not holding pressure. We had the pump checked out, and it is working fine.

We signed on to the BAC website and found the leveling section you referred to. We couldn't find anything that showed a wiring diagram that looked like ours. (We're learning a lot of great information out here though...)   :)

Peggy,
Sorry you are having trouble. My suggestion would be to call Valid Power Gear for technical assistance. I'd look at mine but coach isn't available now.

Bill found a wiring diagram on techsupport.pdxrvwholesale.com that looked like ours. He hooked up the wires and is able to get the leveling system to raise the jacks again. He is now able to manually level the system without disconnecting wires. (The guy that was attempting the repair may have blown a circuit board, since the autoleveling quit working while he was here; That was the next part he wanted to replace, when we halted his work.  We're taking it to Beaver to finish the repair..)

At least now we can use the slide-outs and can travel with it..   :)

Thanks for all your encouragement and assistance with using all the reference material out here! Great library!
