2000 Marquis driving light
« on: July 08, 2021, 12:29:03 AM »
   Greetings,
I lost a driving light somewhere in Colorado. It is approximately 7" in diameter and has a Ford logo on the lens. Any ideas what model ford vehicle it may have come from? Thanks, Fred

I know they should be from the late 90s and probably Ford but the ones you have in there look like 2007 to 2009 Ford Ranger
Here's an add that shows the mounting and the dimensions

I'm thinking your coach has been modified to accept the Ford driving lamps because the originals where hard to find .
Are you sure about the diameter of your lamps as the ones I linked above are only approx 4 1/2 inches in dia and you stated yours are 7 inches which is more the size of an old style round headlamp.
Maybe the best way to verify is to look at the mounting brackets and compare to the pictures in the link above
I think you'll find your lamps have been retrofitted with the newer style  Ford truck driving lights.

Thanks Eric, They are definitely 7" in diameter with some kind of ford housing. The Hella 6" will work just fine. I was just up for the adventure of perusing the local truck bone yards and haggling for a good price. Thanks Fred

I hear ya but so far I haven't found a 7 inch Ford driving lamps .
I'm wondering if they where a heavy truck light for a heavy Ford or sterling truck.

On the other hand there are lots of 7 inch head light replacements with LEDs for the jeep products.

I'll keep poking around to see if I can figure out what Ford used the 7 inches.
 Keep on trucking
