Oregon & California coast
Ron Langdon:
We are on your route now. Staying in Newport at the South Beach St Park. Like other Oregon State parks, South Beach is quite good. Lots of sites, watch overhanging branches however. Be sure to clear the site with the ranger at the entrance to be sure you won't scrape when entering and exiting. There is only 30 amp here and no sewer at the sites. Beaver Creek area 7 miles south is interesting. There is a kyak trip from the hospitality center for $15 that wanders up and around the Beaver Creek area. Beaches are, of course, spectacular.
We will be heading south on 101. Next stop will be Cape Blanco State park, then to Crescent City and the Redwoods RV Park. Give us a yell if you happen to see us. Our Montana plates are BVR4US.
