Replacement Wiper Blades
« on: December 11, 2021, 08:52:57 PM »
Hello there.  We have a 1998 Patriot and need to change our wiper blades [pretty sure they are the original blades].  When looking at it I'm not sure if the arm has a J hook.  It looks like it might have an adapter that flips up but not sure about that either.  I've tried gently to remove them as I would my car but it won't budge and I don't want to try harder and risk breaking the arm.  Should they just pop and slide off and they are just stuck due to age or do they require as "special" method to remove?

Thanks for your help!

If they are the same as our 1997 patriot there is a small nut and bolt that goes through the end of the wiper arm that bolts the wiper blade assembly on .
1997 Patriot Yorktown

2009 Chevy HHR
Roadmaster falcon tow bar
Demco Air Force one tow brake.

It does.  Thank you.  I wasn't sure if that was supposed to come off.  Before I go out and remove them do you know are they same as any regular wiper that I can pick up at the usual stores?

I found my wiper blades at NAPA. They are bigger than passenger car wiper blades.
