Replace driver outside mirror
« on: March 30, 2023, 04:11:03 PM »
Good Morning,  I just had my Driver outside mirror broken, the extension arm broken on both ends, by a motor home being backed up without a spotter.  ? has anyone had to replace the complete assembly themselves and if so what is involved?  I have found a replacement unit but need guidance in replacing the entire unit,  any assistance will be greatly appreciated I have to leave my current location in 2 weeks.

Rocky it's not that big of a job, I replaced both of our units on the PT 06. The wires just need to be pulled in to the new units they have connectors. I had one screw that also needed to have a new threaded insert installed. The correct mounting units have to be correct or you may have a problem with views.  I was never happy with the chrome quailty even on the new units and I added a diamond shield film over the arms and all the face plates.
